Prerequisites for this class:

Seeker Abilities ------- :  "Armor Proficiency" (Leather Armor), "Basic Defense/Offense", "Combat Prowess"

                                         and "Creature Studies": The Trainer must know each breed within a species of animal,

                                         or monster. Note: The Trainer need ONLY spend 1 Modification-Point per 2 Animals or

                                                                        Monsters chosen.

Force the forfeit of an attacker's next turn.

Ability Preparation:

Trainer must use the Trainer's Whip.

Area of Effect:

One creature.

Avoidance-Roll:

Pit your Mental-Strength vs. the Mental-Strength of the targeted creature (single roll check).

Damage:

None.

Duration:

1 turn (5 seconds) (+1 turn per 7 levels advanced).

Effect Time:

Instant. On the beginning of the creature’s next offensive turn, if this ability is successful, it will not gain an offensive attack (physically). A creature can still defend as normal.

The Trainer must crack his or her whip, successfully striking the targeted animal, or monster classed creature. When this ability is used, the Trainer will roll to strike, and must do so, but will not actually strike and damage the creature with the whip.

 

When this is done, the creature and the Trainer will pit Mental-Strength vs. Mental-Strength (single roll check).  If the Creature loses, it cannot attack for the "Duration" of this ability (however, it can still defend as normal).

Trainer must wield a Trainer’s Whip.

Healing:

None.

Immunities:

Only animal and monster class creatures can be effected by this ability.

If a Trainer's Whip is not used, this ability will not work.

Thwart a wild animal's decision to attack.

Prerequisites --------------------------- : Trainer

Ability Preparation:

Trainer must use the Trainer's Whip.

Area of Effect:

1 animal, or giant animal, class creature (+1 animal, or giant animal class creature per 3 levels advanced).

Avoidance-Roll:

Successfully pit your Mental-Strength vs. each creature's Mental-Strength and win to succeed (single roll check for each).

 

Note:

The Trainer will add his or her level, as a bonus, to the %Dice roll.

Damage:

None.

Duration:

1-D12 minutes (+1-D12 minutes per 7 levels advanced).

This ability can thwart a wild animal's decision to attack by speaking to it in certain tones, and using body language that it is most likely to deem as non-threatening and familiar by its own kind.

 

If this ability works, the animal will not attack the Trainer for the “Duration”.

Creatures effected will attack someone the Trainer is with unless the Trainer can intervene physically by rolling initiative with the creature(s) effected. If the Trainer can do this, this ability will extend to protect another as well.

As the range of the whip Trainer wields (a Trainer's Whip has a 3 space (15') range.

Susceptibilities:

If both Trainer and creature are familiar with each other, the Trainer will gain a +1 per level advanced added to succeed the "Avoidance-Roll".

It will be up to the Trainer if he or she wishes to make the creature fall hard, forcing it to use the chart: "Combat, Chance of falling During:".

If the creature grabs the Trainer's Whip, the "Duration" will have a 25% chance of remaining in effect (+1% per 2 levels the Trainer has advanced).
